Visit to 4 Leading Battery Recycling Plants in China

On June 5-6, organized by ACI Environ, 33 representatives from 12 countries visited four leading battery recycling enterprises in China - Guangdong Jinsheng New Energy, Foshan Rikomay, GEM Circular Economy Industry Park(Shen-Shan Park), and Shenzhen Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone Qiantai Technology Co., Ltd. China has always been at the forefront of the world in the field of power battery recycling, not only with advanced technology, but also with a profound understanding and practice of environmental protection and resource recycling.

During this on-site visit, the international delegation not only witnessed China's diversified technology and innovative capabilities in battery recycling, but also engaged in intense discussions and exchanges. This exchange not only deepened the understanding and recognition between both sides, but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. Through this session, multiple companies have expressed strong cooperation intentions, which not only provides valuable opportunities for Chinese companies to "go global", but also injects new vitality into the development of the global battery recycling industry.

The participants greatly benefited from the company visits and expressed a desire to visit and learn from more outstanding enterprises in the future. Therefore, we plan to organize a week-long in-depth study tour in 2025. 

ACI Environ is going to organize the Study Tour on Battery Recycling in China, from the 16th to the 20th June 2025. We will visit 9 battery recycling plants & equipment vendors that encompass all stages of the battery recycling value chain, from repurposing and pre-processing to material recovery, including the extraction of valuable metals like nickel, cobalt, and lithium. Participants will learn about the technologies and innovations driving the industry, such as selecting the right equipment, improving metal recovery rates, reducing energy use, and minimizing environmental impact.
