2 Billion Yuan! Ganfeng Lithium's 100,000-Ton Retired Lithium Battery Recycling Project Completes Final Acceptance Announcement.

Recently, the Quannan County People's Government released a public announcement regarding the completion and acceptance of Ganfeng Recycling Resources Co., Ltd.'s annual 100,000-ton retired lithium battery recycling project.

According to previous reports from Ganzhou Daily, the project was invested and built by Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium Group Co., Ltd., China's first "A+H" dual-listed lithium industry company. With a total investment of 2 billion yuan and covering an area of 140 acres, the project is being constructed in two phases. Phase one includes 10 battery processing lines with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons of retired batteries. The project was signed in the first quarter of 2022, trial production began in September, and within just four months, it generated 300 million yuan in revenue. In 2023, the first phase reached full capacity, achieving annual revenue of 2 billion yuan and contributing over 60 million yuan in taxes, making it the largest lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery recycling enterprise in the country. Construction of the second phase began in 2023, and once fully operational, the project is expected to achieve an output value exceeding 8 billion yuan, driving the rapid development of Quannan County's new energy industry and expanding its scale.

According to Ganfeng Lithium, the project leverages automated dismantling and recycling technologies developed in collaboration with universities such as Tsinghua University. It features production lines for battery discharge, cutting, crushing, pyrolysis treatment, and electrode sheet processing. The facility processes waste lithium batteries (including retired ternary and LFP batteries) and production waste from lithium battery manufacturers (such as retired ternary and LFP cells and electrode sheets). It recovers valuable materials, including LFP cathode powders, ternary cathode powders, battery powders, plastics, copper, aluminum, and separators.

Serving as the final link in Ganfeng Group's "five-in-one" ecosystem, Ganfeng Recycling in Ganzhou is committed to advancing in areas such as cutting-edge technology, premium products, and green production. It aims to become a world-class high-tech enterprise in comprehensive lithium battery recycling, truly realizing its vision of "utilizing limited resources to create unlimited value."
